Anime News -Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Novels Get Anime DVD

The August issue of Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine is announcing on Monday that the seventh special-edition volume of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novel series will bundle a DVD with an all-new original anime on September 22.
A television anime series was already announced last month, and although the broadcast date has not been announced yet, Monthly Comic Alive states that the anime DVD will ship before the television series airs. The anime DVD and the television anime will share much of the same staff, including director Hisashi Saito and musical composer Tom-H@ck.
Yomi Hirasaka and Buriki's light novels revolve around Kodaka Hasegawa, a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair scares people, and a seemingly perpetually sullen girl named Yozora Mikazuki. The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for people with hardly any friends.

This series seems to be popular. While the plot kinda screamed Haruhi to me, what can I say? I like this type of anime. I will be reading the manga soon, so wish me luck!
