The Durarara!! television anime series premieres on the American television network Adult Swim tonight at 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. EDT/PDT.
The 2010 Durarara!! anime adapts Ryohgo Narita's suspense action light novels of the same name. After launching his earlier Baccano! light novel series, Narita wrote Durarara!!'s "warped adolescent fantasy romance" about the colorful young denizens of Tokyo's Ikebukuro neighborhood.
Narita has written nine Durarara!! novel volumes since 2004, and Akiyo Satorigi began drawing a manga series in Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine in 2009. Aniplex shipped the entire 26-episode anime on DVD in North America. The website Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside Japan as it aired.

I'm not that big a fan of the show or Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block (well, since 2006 anyway), but it's newsworthy so...
